We are pleased to announce a brand new duo to our roster. The name of the group is called The Palace and consists of producer Apricut and rapper J-Spliff. At the moment they are finishing their debut release, that is set to drop sometime in early 2016. But to introduce you properly we are happy to present to you the first single and video for the track “Statues”.
We are proud to present a new artist to our roster. Behind the alias Eelahno we find the young producer Oliver Vaupel from the Copenhagen outskirts. On May 7th we will be releasing his debut EP “Rivers” and in the next couple of weeks we will have some more info to share. But in the meantime you can watch the beautiful animated video for the first EP track “Circles” by Nikolaj Lindblad or listen/download below:
This Thursday Lotte Rose will be opening her first solo exhibition at the IMT Gallery in London. The exhibition involves wide range of video, installation and audio made in response to the productivity of some US hip hop acts:
“They are releasing several albums a month,” she says, “creating ripples, that later on became major waves in the heavy pop music industry. Likewise I wanted to produce a crowd of works with more concern for process than outcome. I am accumulating multiple self-portraits that become a crowd supporting each other, artificially enhancing the justification of their existence.”
Watch the trailer:
Private view: Thursday 23rd January 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Exhibition: 24th January – 2nd March 2014
First Thursday late opening: Thursday 6th February 12:00 – 9:00pm
A couple of weeks ago Rewolmer played a live set in the Copenhagen metro during Strøm 2013. In the short video above you can check out an interview with him about his approach to making music for this ride. The interview is in danish, but watch the thing to catch the vibe of the train ride.
Yesterday we proudly presented the arrival of Felix De Luca to the roster. Now you can check out the video for the first single, “Rollin”. The video is a sonic description of chasing that perfect high, in search of achieving a limbo-like mind state between life and death. This druggy and dreamy song is nothing less than one of many indications of the quality on “The Rebirth Of An Artist”
You can also check out the video on youtube right HERE
Back on May 9th 2012 Eloq released his album “Beats, Remixes & Some Other Cool Stuff”. The artwork was done by the Brazil based artist Amanda Mussi. The artwork was so dope that we thought this needed something more than just being a digital thing. So we decided to make this limited run of 100 posters with the sketch of the first cover draft we got send. Get your now at soundesc.bandcamp.com – hand signed by Eloq
